On Sunday, July 26, 2009,Our Lady's Cathedral will sponsor a blood drive. You can donate blood from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. In the past we have sponsored one or two blood drives per year. At our last blood drive in the fall 30 parishioners donated blood. This was an improvement over previous blood drives but in light of the fact that we have almost 800 registered families,this is still a small turnout.

Few families have not experienced the need for blood for a family member or friend. Bloodsupplies are chronically low. This is your opportunity to be of service.

If you are capable of donating blood please do so. It is not necessary that you inform us whether or not you will be there to donate blood. You can just showup! However, having an approximate number of donors helps the blood unit to determine how much staff to send so that donors don't have to wait so long.
