Ushers: What do they really do? Print E-mail
Ushers are those welcoming faces at the front doors of the Cathedral before every liturgy and event. They are the first people seen when visitors arrive for a liturgy in the Cathedral. They help when someone feels ill. They come early and check in with Father to see if there are any extra events happening during the liturgies. They show friends places to sit. They distribute bulletins and other programs. They take up the collections at the appropriate time. Ushers clean the pews of any paper or bulletins left following a liturgy. They are scheduled to serve each week for a month. If you would like to help with this very important ministry, please call the parish office, (405) 525-2349. There is a need for friendly faces to join those who have been so faithful and helpful for many years. This is what the great ushers of the Cathedral do to help everyone!!! Thank you to all ushers!!!
