At the Cathedral, we believe in extending our mission of love and charity beyond the pews. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Catholic Charities and introduce the Caritas Casitas Project, an initiative designed to furnish homes for individuals transitioning out of homelessness.
The name Caritas Casitas combines "Caritas," meaning "Charity" in Latin, and "Casitas," meaning "Houses" in Spanish. Together, it symbolizes our commitment to creating welcoming spaces where hope and dignity can thrive.
How You Can Help
We’ve made it easy for everyone to contribute to this meaningful project:
Amazon Wishlist: We have curated an Amazon Wishlist filled with items to make each Caritas Casita feel like home. Access the Wishlist via the QR code in the parish bulletin, direct link in the Cathedral Chronicle or see button below. Your purchased items will be shipped directly to the Cathedral office for convenience.

Support Big-Ticket Items: For larger items like a bed, kitchen table, chairs, and a couch, we’re organizing a special collection. Parishioners can contribute via decorated envelopes created by the students of Bishop John Carroll Cathedral School. These envelopes will include the project name, a description in both English and Vietnamese, and a QR code for online giving.
